Physical Appearance: Far contrasting the average fair-skinned, dark-haired folk that are more commonly seen traveling the pokemon world, Wesley it often a fairly easy individual to pick out in a crowd. His hair, normally left somewhat unkempt due to lack of interest in his own appearance, is a dull greyish- white in color. However, despite it dull shade his hair always tends to appear a little brighter than it actually it due to its disparity from his skin. Darkened both by frequent exposure to the sun and his families inherent skin coloration, his coppery weather-beaten skin is more often than not one of his more defining features. Not quite as defining as his eyes though which are more of an unusual burgundy in color, like that of brick.
As far as build goes, Wesley is actually fairly fit for someone his age but only is so much that he has spent a great deal of his life outdoors participating in various physical activities. Still, standing only at five feet eight inches and maintaining a fairly thin frame, he would consider himself fairly average as far as musculature goes. He doesn't attempt excel above others in strength or anything like that, but considering the comforts of modern society there are times where he finds himself to be 'above average'. If he had to describe it, he would probably say that he can endure physical stress better than others.
His attire tends to also show his general disregard for his own appearance, choosing comfort over civility or popularity. Because of this he is most often seen in common casual wear such as jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sweaters, ect. All of which have an tendency to be worn, faded, and usually a slightly wrong size giving him more of a 'hand-me-down' appearance, though he doesn't seem to mind at all. Still, he does tend to have a fondness for more earthen colors like greens and brown so a majority of his apparel also share that trait as well.

Personality: If one was to judge him based on his appearance, it would not be very hard to guess what kind of person Wesley is. Just as his scruffy unkempt appearance might imply, he is a very lackadaisical character with little regard for social niceties. He is slightly hedonistic in the sense that he tends to not see (or even ignore) future consequences for his actions, attempting to take whatever course of action seems like it will benefit him most in the short run. He had no qualms with using theft and violence to achieve his goals, doing as he pleases regardless of the effect it has on others. That being said, he tends to take life and its problems as they come. He is a very patient person and is relatively mild-mannered, capable of dealing with some of the more hot-headed or annoying people with relative ease. Perhaps it is because of his reactive kind of lifestyle that he is capable of dealing with hardship and stress so well.
Wesley treats all social interactions halfheartedly, with little regard for societal taboo's or his own ignorance of other cultures. And while this might make him seems like somewhat of a bigot, he does not always do so voluntarily. He mostly just ignorant or does not think of such things when he talks to others. Because of this he often finds himself having to apologize to others, though at times a similarly halfhearted apology just makes thing worse. All and all, it is safe to say that he is socially awkward and is someone that might take some getting used to before others understand that he means little harm.
Regardless of his halfhearted attitude, there is a hidden adventurous part of him that enjoys being active and discovering new things. He may not be the most intelligent or leaned person in the world, but he loves to learn and is fairly persistent when he finds something that he does not understand. He overcomes his inexperience and obstacles with perseverance. He enjoys improving himself and likes to be praised for his accomplishments. (Though he'd never admit it.) Because of this he is actually fairly driven in bettering himself and his life in spite of his lack of a general plan for himself.
History: Once rumored to be a town of rogues and thugs, Pyrite town was a little rough but a lawless town in rumor only. But as time went on and the mining town continued to struggle, crime began to increase within Pyrite town more than anywhere else. With the towns livelihood diminishing many townsfolk either left or resorted to a life of crime. The Argyle couple, consisting of the young male Warren Argyle whom was born and raised in Pyrite and the young female Marina whom met with Warren during her adventure and chose to stay with him, were part of the later group. Originally Warren was to support them by working in the mines, but when the mine began to run dry and he lost his source of income and had decided to take up the life of a thief. Marina, while initially ignorant to her boyfriends recent change in occupation, eventually discovered the truth and reluctantly followed suit. And thus into such a world Wesley was eventually born. However, despite the fact that his parent's had chosen such a life for themselves, they did not want their son to share the same fate. Together the couple decided that they would save the bulk of their ill gotten gains to send their son away to Pokemon School.
Eventually the couple managed to save enough to move out of Orre into another region where they felt they could raise Wesley better. In particular they moved to Oreburgh City in Sinnoh, another mining ton where Wesley's father was able to work. But old habits die hard and eventually the man was caught stealing valuables and arrested. To make matters worse for Marina, Wesley had already began to take after his father (despite his mothers best efforts) and had been causing trouble for others both in town and school. The backlash was crippling. While Marina had earned the respect of her neighbors, the father's thugish nature had far from done the same. As such Wesley, whom had inherited much of his fathers looks, had also inherited the stigma of a thief. When his father was arrested people began to turn their eyes to Wesley and began to see actions they had formerly overlooked. The child was continuously scolded on all fronts. Over the next few years, even after the child mended his ways, his mother became more demanding, the other children played with him less, and every now and then he'd overhear the adults still talk ill of him and his father. Eventually, Wesley decided it was best to ignore everyone. To just put up with everything and do whatever he wanted. His grades dropped to below average, just barely enough to pass, and his personality became noticeably marked by a general lack of interest or excitement.
Marina, having noticed the changes in her son became distraught. The future for their son looked bleak if she could not find a way to instill motivation in his schooling. Then she heard about the new Caspian Region that was allowing for youth to safely partake in journeys of their own. She thought that perhaps if her child had gained some perspective he might change for the better. So she scrounged up as much money she could from their saving and her friends to have enough to send Wesley away on his own adventure.
