[COMPLETE] I Choose You!

Seina had kept looking around the room after she called out, trying to see if anyone was in the office. When she heard a voice come out from a back room, she jumped slightly, releasing a muffled "eek" in surprise.

"There's a thing called knocking, you know. And an inside voice."

To these words Seina's body was filled with an apologetic feeling, as though she had done something wrong. Before she could apologize, the person before her had begun speaking again. Seina looked right at her, watching her to make sure that there was nothing that she was going to miss should her attention waver.

"Not like anyone that comes in here usually knows that. But, yes. It's nice to see someone know how to come at a good time of day. I'm actually as ready as I possibly could be. Hello, my name is Idina Franklin, geneticist here at the Gaia Ranch. I'm here to give you a Pokemon of your choosing. Here is a list of all of your class options and the Pokemon which accompany them. Tell me which one you're interested in and I'll go retrieve them from the back."

The young girl reached out and grabbed the list from the person in front of her. As she held the paper in hand, she began reading the basic information that was listed on the sheet. The name of the species of Pokemon, and their respective element type. Her eyes scanned the list, trying to find out which ones she might want. Squirtle...a water-type. Chikorita...a grass-type. And Charmander..a fire... Seina had paused mid thought once she realized that one of the Pokemon she was thinking about looking into was a fire-type. Simply reading about which type it was she was reminded of the Arcanine breathing flames in anger towards her many years ago. Her body shivered as though she had just touched a Pikachu's electric pouch. She took a breath to calm herself before she made her decision. "Would I be able to take a look at Charmander?" she said after lowering the list enough for her to look over it.  Hopefully when she faced this Pokemon she would be able to see something positive about it, and not just be reminded of the incident in her past.

The young bright-eyed girl watched the geneticist Idina Franklin as she left to go retrieve the Charmander that she, Seina, had requested. Seina did not know how she was going to react to the Pokemon, though she hoped she would not feel any fear of it. Before she could get into any deeper thoughts, she heard the geneticist return, and in her arms was an orange lizard. As soon as the lizard turned around to look at her, matching her eyes before he decided to jump down and run over to her.

She felt a tight clasp of the fire Pokemon's arms as it grabbed her leg and began making cheerful sounds, as though it was trying to tell her to choose him as a partner. Seina just looked down while her body became paralyzed. Why is it grabbing me? she thought as she knelt down while pushing the Charmander back a few inches, letting it look her in the eyes.

So...you're a Charmander, her inner voice stated. The Pokemon before her looked to be energetic and giving what a person could consider a smile, revealing its sharp front teeth. Seina gave a friendly smile in return, she could hardly tell that this Pokemon was a fire-type like she knew. The Charmander's tail was flicking around behind it, showing that he was excited to come out to prove himself worthy of being the first Pokemon of a trainer.

The moving flame attracted Seina's gaze, drawing her in. From what she knew about Charmander, the flame on its tail represented its emotions and life. It was a creature that would bear its emotions out for other people and Pokemon. It was in a way similar to her. Seina could be read easily as she let her emotions show. Seeing how similar she was to this Pokemon was enough to make Seina finalize any decision she was going to make.

"I'll be fine taking this Charmander as my partner," she announced while giving a friendly smile to the geneticist who had been helping her. She gave the same smile to the Charmander who was looking directly at her. "So, what name would be best for you,' she stated while putting a finger on her chin in thought, 'how does Kazu sound?"
