Name: Maive Rose Silver
Age: Nineteen
Hometown: Cerulean City
Trainer Type: Breeder
Physical Appearance: Maive has a pair of light blue eyes and blonde hair that flows down below her shoulders. Tucked her hair, she usually always has on a blue butterfly hair clip, given to her by her mother. Most of the time, she wears her hair down. Usually when she's locked in to a good book, or focusing on something, is when she slips her hair in to a ponytail. She has a slender figure, and stands about five foot six, and weighs roughly one hundred and seven pounds. Her normal clothing style consists of a school girl look, though she also likes to wear flashy clothes that fit her well - mostly shorts and a tank top of numerous colors. She has almost flawless, ivory colored skin, which darkens easily in the sunlight. Unless looking closely, one couldn't tell she has a scar on her left cheek, from an accident when she was younger. It has faded over time, but it is there, nonetheless.

Personality: A rather bright girl that looks sweet even though she is more feisty then anything. It isn't that she has a bad attitude it is more that she is a rebel child. Sweet when she wants something, but she can be rather harsh and blunt to the point where it is hurtful. Always the joker she loves telling jokes and playing pranks on people. Yes she is a bit childish however she is a girl that is serious on a dime. Very hard working she is stubborn upon putting her mind to something. She loves pokemon even more then she loves doing her own thing. Somewhat cocky from time to time, however she is respectable to adults most of the time. Sometimes she finds them so annoying that she is down right rude. She knows she shouldn't, but no one is prefect. She isn't, not by a long shot. Despite all she had going for her that is wrong she really is a sweet and brave deep ones you get past her rough outside shell.
Under her rough shell she is a wonderful person. A loyal friend to those that she trusts and are friends with. She'd stand up against time it's self to protect a friend in need and even though she acts fearless she isn't without her own fears. Scared of being seen as weak she does everything she can to act tough, but she is honestly scared of ghost pokemon and lighting. Thunder she is fine with, but lightening drives her crazy. So even if she doesn't act scared on the outside, on the inside she is going out of her mind in fear. The same with ghost pokemon.
History: From birth in Cerulean City in the Kanto region, Maive was always going to grow up as the 'normal kid'. She had a mother, Rosa Marie, who was an eccentric painter with a metaphor for everything, and a hard-working father, Lucas, who paid the bills - which were usually left hanging by her mother, whose art was slightly unappreciated. Her little brother, Maurice, had perfect grades and a perfect hairstyle, and was doted on as an angel child by all the old ladies in the district.
At the age of seven, Maive discovered an unhatched egg lying on the ground beneath a tree at their house. She gave it warmth throughout the winter, as other kids played in the snow and had a good time in the winter months. However, as soon as it hatched, her father convinced her that it would be happier with its own kind, so Maive released the newly hatched Starly back into the wild. It visited her occasionally for a few years, and then seemed to disappear.
As she turned from a pimpled teenager to a tall, well-rounded youth, Maive heard stories about the new regions - Hoenn and Johto - but one in particular caught her attention: the Caspian Region. It sounded so exotic, and once she had it in her mind to go there, Maive was not going to be dissuaded. Watching as her brother earned his degree, studying to become a doctor and performing life-saving surgeries on hearts and lungs, Maive often felt as if she wasted her youth. She spent countless days hanging around one of the by-gone trainers from the generations that had passed, hoping to glean some last few tidbits of stories which inspired her yet did not call her to action. Still living at home, being 18, not having a direction in life but laying on the couch, dreaming of being the best, but having the desire to prove herself, she realized she needed someone there pushing her.
But this remained a dream for a year, as she refused to leave home. Despite her passion for wanting to to find that starly, despite her passion to prove her worth, despite wanting a more than “average” life, her fears of inadequacy due to averageness did not allow her to leave her door steps.
Within this painful year of confusion, her mother passed away as she slept. With the tragic and sudden death of her mother, her father was forced to work multiple jobs to keep up the mediocre income they already possessed. Soon this mediocre, average lifestyle began slipping, and with its slipping, Maive was forced out. Her father did not want Maive out, but he knew her mother would want her daughter to move on with her life and not be so attached to a home. Well with her mother gone, Maive’s connection was ruptured and her father cut the final chord by forcing herout. This sudden destruction of a world that Maive was so accustom to pushed her back toward the old pokemon trainer and his tales he loved so dearly. It was him who saw the passion in Maive’s eyes. It was him who believed Maive could go on and do great things and leave her mediocre life. Maive stood out to him. Well, now she wouldn't be leaving hermediocre life, she was being kicked out into a new life and she knew that she now had to be that person who stood out to survive.
With her mother’s teachings ringing in her ears, “Don't forget an umbrella. It may just rain!”, Maive packed. He knew he was leaving, but did not know to where. She knew this was no longer her life, and her life was to be constructed.
Days later there she was, on a cruise ship with a fearful grin, as the water rocked the boat left and right knocking her backpack around as she held tightly onto it, in fear it would fall over. As she left the house days earlier, a sailor found her under a bridge sleeping. Seeing she was no beggar or crazy, he offered her board on the ship. The ship was due to set sail in a couple days and the destination was unknown to the crew. As Maive took refuge on the ship, she contemplated begging to come home, but she knew there was no home. There was no average life awaiting her. There was just emptiness, a dusty house, an old man who kicked her out, and an old man who pushed her to leave for the better. This would be her journey, finding her life, finding her adequacy, creating her journey, but what would hold her back is that she wasn’t ready to go.
